A collaboration of female Creative Minds who have come together to celebrate International Women’s Day 2015.

 

CAKE is to be an exciting and dynamic celebration of women’s achievements in Southampton. Centred around International Women’s Day which takes place every year on March 8th, a multi disciplined approach will recognise just how far the female population of Southampton have come since Southampton born pioneer Emily Davies fought for a woman’s right to have access to university level  education. We want to celebrate today’s successful women of Southampton for all they have achieved and give inspiration and courage to others who are yet to find their vocation.

 

 

During February-March 2015 there will be a range of EVENTS happening around Southampton that encompass many different genres such as art,literature, music, film and creative workshops.

It is intended for a programme of events to occur that will inspire the widest possible audience with a focus on empowering women through knowledge, allowing imaginations to be sparked.
